David Maskeroni
Chief Revenue Officer and Co-Founder of Aquia
David brings nearly two decades of active duty United States Army and civil service experience to his role as chief revenue officer (CRO) of Aquia. He began his career as a United States Army Officer serving two tours on Operation Iraqi Freedom as a platoon leader with the 10th Mountain Division. He ended his second tour as the logistics advisor for the Iraqi police, where he developed a passion for fighting fraud, waste, and abuse. David was awarded a Bronze Star for his service above and beyond the call of duty.
Upon fulfilling his military requirement, David went straight into civil service with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), helping them organize the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. He served in various levels of leadership within CMS, ultimately focusing on Medicaid IT modernization efforts that would impact the lives of 74 million of the most vulnerable Americans. Wanting to understand the other side of government support, he took a role in a Silicon Valley health IT startup where he led their government portfolio. During the pandemic, David also volunteered for the United States Digital Response to COVID-19 and Project N95 to ensure that essential workers were getting the support they needed.
David is passionate about the intersection of technology and government accountability. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and hiking along the Appalachian Trail.
